There are a lot of things X could do here. She could back off and wait for him to leave the forest.
She could demolish his weapon with her claws.
She could take his hand off at the wrist.
Or --
Well.
She looks at him, face expressionless. Blank.
"No."
Or she could do that. And keep moving toward him.
