She coughs a few times, taking a couple minutes to decide whether or not she is finished.

to be the last time. There's nothing left to expel.
Trembling a little, she sets the bucket down and rests her head against her arm. Tears run from her eyes onto her skin.
It'll be another minute before she realizes Doc is there with her.
